A frontal boundary will move into Ohio tonight and become nearly stationary across southern Ohio through the upcoming workweek. Waves of low pressure traveling along the front will bring occasional rain and thunderstorms into central Ohio beginning this evening. The rain threat will increase Sunday night into Monday as the first low pressure tracks along the front. Rain will taper off Monday night into Tuesday before another system spreads more rain and storms into the state midweek. Due to the stalled front, some areas especially in southern Ohio may pick up several inches of rain over the next 5 days which may lead to some localized flooding.
Despite the showers, temperatures will rise into the lower 80s on Sunday with increasing humidity. As the front briefly moves south Monday, high temperatures will fall back into the upper 70s before returning into the 80s by Tuesday.
The threat for showers and thunderstorms will be on the increase over the next 24 hours as a frontal boundary moves into the state. The front will stall across the area through much of the workweek which could lead to heavy showers and storms and the potential for localized flooding.
