A Lewis Center man is behind bars, accused of attempting to coerce children into sex.
FBI task force officers arrested Brian Van Hoose on Wednesday at his home. Now, 10TV has uncovered this isn’t the first time he’s been arrested by the FBI.
According to court documents, in 2004 Brian Van Hoose was arrested for distributing child pornography in Georgia, but he was never prosecuted for the crime.
Van Hoose is accused of using the Internet to try to track down children for sex. According to court documents obtained by 10TV, Van Hoose contacted an undercover agent in a chat room and advised that he was interested in incest and young children.
The documents show the conversations continued on Skype, where he insinuated that he had viewed child pornography in the past and that he longed "for the real thing.”
When the agent advised that he had 5-year-old and 12-year-old daughters, Van Hoose allegedly replied, "both of your girls are perfect ages for my tastes" and the older one is perfect is seducing and the youngest for teaching. The two even discussed providing the younger child with Nyquil so that they could engage in sexual activity with the girl while she was sleeping.
Court documents obtained by 10TV show Van Hoose is also being investigated for the same crimes in Virginia.
A federal arrest warrant has been issued for Van Hoose in that state for coercion and enticement of a minor.
Van Hoose is due back in federal court on Friday.
