Urban Meyer Happy With First Week Of Buckeye Practice

The first week of practice has Urban Meyer looking differently at his Ohio State team.

Some players are still hurt, some new bodies are stepping in and everybody is sweating through the most grueling days of preseason camp. But Meyer likes what he sees.

Before Sunday's annual media day, Meyer said his third Buckeyes squad should be very good.

Quarterback Braxton Miller is still not full go after surgery this year on his throwing shoulder, and Carlos Hyde's heir apparent at tailback, Ezekiel Elliott, is missing a few days after minor surgery on his left wrist.

But the reconstructed defense, four new starters on the offensive line and several other areas are being addressed - and looking up - during the dog days of August.
