Sears officials say the company is closing a distribution center in Columbus.
The center on Lockbourne Road will remain operational until the end of December.
The distribution center sends products to Sears and Kmart stores.
A company official said the closing was part of a strategy to “optimize the distribution network.”
There are 200 people currently working at the facility. The company is offering them a severance package or the option to apply for open positions in other parts of the company.
