A Columbus SWAT team spent four hours at a home in east Columbus, where they say a man barricaded himself inside with a gun.
Officers told neighbors on Dundee Avenue to get out of their homes early Monday morning once the standoff started.
SWAT and Police arrived at the scene after receiving a call around 3:00 a.m. The man told police he had a gun and wanted to possibly harm himself.
SWAT officers surrounded the house, and electrical crews turned off power to the neighborhood during negotiations.
The man's family was called to the scene to help negotiate.
Officers say the man told them he didn't plan on hurting anyone else, but could be pushed to if anyone tried to come into his apartment.
Police finally arrested the man around 7:00 a.m.
