Authorities Release Sketch Of Buckeye Bandit Robbery Suspect

On Tuesday, the FBI, ATF, and Columbus Police Department released a composite sketch of a man wanted in connection with several Columbus-area bank robberies.

The suspect is allegedly involved in at least 16 Columbus-area bank robberies.  He’s also suspected of robbing a Columbus pharmacy three separate times. 

The most recent robberies the suspect is alleged to have been involved with include a robbery at the SMART Federal Credit Union on North High Street on July 9th and at the Fifth Third Bank branch on May 3rd, also located on North High Street.

The suspect is described as a 25-30-year-old black male.  He is believed to be approximately 5’11” to 6’0” tall, 170-185 pounds with an athletic build.  Authorities say the suspect has worn an Ohio State University hat and shirt while committing several of the robberies.

He is considered armed and dangerous

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to the identification, arrest and conviction of this bank robbery suspect.  Additional monetary rewards from the private sector may also be available.  Anyone with information on these robberies is requested to call the Buckeye Bandit Tip Line at (614) 849-1896.
