Firefighter Struck By Lightning Now Breathing On His Own

A Columbus firefighter who was struck by lightning in June has been upgraded at OSU Wexner Medical Center.

Th fire department confirms that Lt. Stu Tudor is now breathing on his own and is opening his eyes.

Tudor went into cardiac arrest on June 28th when he was hit in the parking lot outside Crew Stadium.

He had just finished  a charity soccer game to raise money for fallen or injured police officers and firefighters.

Tudor can now begin rehabilitation.
