Today will be the best day for outdoor plans before a strong storm system brings the threat for severe storms to Ohio. It will be warmer and more humid today with highs in the middle 80’s. Skies will be mainly partly cloudy but a few showers and thunderstorms could pop up this afternoon before wet weather becomes likely overnight. All of Ohio is under a slight risk for severe storms beginning overnight Saturday and going through Sunday. Parts of southern Ohio will see a more rare moderate chance for severe storms Sunday afternoon/evening. The Saturday overnight storms could have heavy rain and lead to some flooding. We’ll be watching a round of storms on Sunday morning that could have damaging winds and more heavy rain. A stronger threat for severe storms will come on Sunday afternoon and early evening. During that time storms could have tornadoes, hail and damaging winds. Storms will taper off late Sunday evening and much cooler air settles in for the new work week with another round of below average highs.
