Columbus firefighters are working to determine the cause of an East Columbus house fire.
It started around 2 p.m. Saturday in the 4600 block of East Livingston Avenue.
Firefighters said it spread quickly from the first to the second floor, causing a moderate amount of damage.
"This one was tricky because it wasn't just in the living space," said Columbus Fire Captain David Baugh. "It was actually in the structural members up in the void spaces and they had to do a lot of hard work which makes it tough on the guys when it's a hot day like today."
Firefighters said two people inside managed to escape without getting hurt.
