Police said a 2-year-old boy has died following a drowning Thursday night in South Columbus.
Officers told 10TV the child, Jantis Canterberry, was reported missing from a home on Golden Leaf Lane around 6 p.m.
Police said two teens were watching multiple children when they lost sight of the boy.
Neighbors tell 10TV they saw a couple of the kids left unattended in the front yard when an ice cream truck went through the neighborhood.
Detectives said the child was discovered in a backyard pool around 6:25 p.m.
Police said either family or friends then drove the toddler to a Columbus Fire Station on W Broad Street.
Firefighters transported the child to Mount Carmel West hospital where he later died.
Detectives say they don't anticipate any criminal charges being filed at this point in the investigation.
