More storms are expected to develop this afternoon and evening as the front gets closer. The Storm Prediction Center has all but NW Ohio under a “Slight Risk” for severe thunderstorms today. Damaging winds and large hail would be the main threat from the strong storms; however the threat should remain quite isolated.
The front should slowly push south of the state on Wednesday although a few lingering showers or storms will be possible for midweek. Cooler, less humid air will filter into the state Wednesday night with dry and pleasant weather expected for Red, White and Boom Thursday and for the 4th Of July Holiday.
ALERTS : SPC has A Slight Risk for Severe Storms over parts of OHIO and in a broad band from NY to MO & AR. Severe T-Storm Watch in NW Ohio until 8 AM. Heat Advisory in Ross, Pike & Scioto from 2-8 PM.
Inconvenient WX/Plan Your Day: Morning showers & storms with more possible later today. Severe potential is there. Mainly strong wind and hail threat. Still muggy. Looks great for the holiday weekend.
