A kangaroo and wallaby from the Columbus Zoo & Aquarium visited 10TV on Monday.

Suzi Rapp from the Columbus Zoo says zoo visitors can tell the difference between the two animals from Down Under by their size.  A kangzroo is much larger than a wallaby.

Kangaroos are found in Australia and Tasmania, as well as on surrounding islands.  They are grazing herbivores, which means their diet consists mainly of grasses. They can survive long periods without water.

Meanwhile, wallaby’s live throughout Australia, New Zealand, and New Guinea.   There are 30 different types of wallabies that live in many types of habitats, including rocky areas, grasslands, forests and swamps
