Homicide detectives are investigating after a man was found dead in the back of a pickup truck in Clintonville early Monday morning.
Officers say two people were riding down North High Street, near the Park of Roses, when they found the man who appeared to be hurt.
It was around 4 a.m. when they put the individual in the bed of their truck. The pair drove down the street and flagged down an officer at the corner of North High Street and East North Broadway for help. Medics arrived and declared the man dead.
Police shut down the intersection while they investigated.
Detectives tell 10TV they are calling the death suspicious, but they found no injuries to the body.
In a news release just after noon, police said they had still not identified the individual. The John Doe is between 45-65 years old, 5' 9" tall and 160 pounds. He's described as a white male of possibly Middle Eastern or Greek decent. He has dark hair and a beard. The man was wearing tan shorts and appears to have a skin graft on his leg.
