A Licking County community is in mourning after a single-vehicle crash left three teens dead and injured two others.
Friends of the families tell 10TV that the driver, 16-year-old Jaylynn Rigio, is in a drug-induced coma at Nationwide Children's Hospital and that 16-year-old Ashton Cody is recovering at home.
The accident claimed the lives of 17-year-old Michael Hoskinson, 15-year-old Cheyenne Spurgeon and 15-year-old Linzie Bell.
Investigators say speed was a factor in the crash.
The three who passed away are being remembered through flowers and crosses at the crash site.
"It's really hard to believe that they died," said 9-year-old Brianna Justice. "And my sister knew them so much and I knew them so much too. It's just really sad."
Justice and her mother, Jodi Justice, placed a cross at the base of the tree the car struck in memory of the three teens.
"They were all great kids," Jodi Justice said.
The Johnstown resident says she has three other children who were friends with the victims.
She said Hoskinson had stayed with her family in the past and had become very active in his church recently.
"I know he's in a good place. He loved God so I have comfort knowing that," she said. "It's really just almost too hard to talk about right now."
Despite her pain, Justice says she is talking to the media because she wants people to always remember the three teens who did not make it.
"Remember everything," she said. "Don't ever forget them."
