Shooting Victim Caught In The Crossfire

Police were investigating a shooting that happened around 8:30 Wednesday night.

Officers responded to reports of gunfure along James Road in east Columbus.

A few minutes later, 26-year-old Lupe Martinez walked into Columbus Fire Station #21. He had been shot in the foot.

Martinez told detectives that he was caught in the crossfire when two other people started shooting at each other.

Several homes in the area were also hit by bullets.

Martinez was expected to be ok.

Anyone with information on the shooting was asked to call Columbus POlice or Central Ohio Crime Stoppers at 614-654-TIPS.
