The Ohio Highway Patrol and Hilliard Police say five people are facing OVI charges after being stopped at sobriety checkpoints this weekend.
Checkpoints were in place Friday night on Hilliard-Rome Road and on Saturday on Cemetery Road.
Authorities say 428 vehicles were stopped at the Hilliard-Rome Rd. location. Three drivers were arrested for OVI, and another person was arrested for felony drug possession.
At the Cemetery Road location, 200 vehicles were checked with two arrests made.
The sobriety checkpoints are funded by federal grants and used to deter and intercept impaired drivers.
