Columbus Police are searching for the person who shot a teenage boy in north Columbus.
The shooting happened around 11:30 p.m. Saturday in the 2500 block of Hiawatha Street.
Officers say two groups of people got into an argument. During the fight, someone stepped out between two houses with an assault rifle and fired several shots.
Police say 19-year-old Travonne T. J. Patterson was shot in the chest. He was taken to OSU Wexner Medical Center in critical condition. His condition has since improved.
Officers say a man wearing all black was seen running from the scene. They believe he took off in a black Ford Expedition.
