Two people face multiple charges after police investigate a kidnapping, a car chase, and a manhunt in Mansfield.

According to a police report, Mansfield police responded to a report of a kidnapping involving a two-year-old child on Saturday.

Police said Charly Ray Ledbetter and Deana Hebert were holding the child for ransom in exchange for money or medication to allegedly manufacture methamphetimes.

When officers attempted to enter Ledbetter's residence, police said he took off in a vehicle.

The child was found unharmed on Hebert was arrested.

Ledbetter led police on a high speed chase before eventually stopping and fleeing on foot in the 1800 block of Bowen Road.

Police searched the area, but did not find Ledbetter.

Police said Ledbetter was eventually arrested Sunday afternoon following another police chase after a report of a theft at a Walmart.

Numerous drug paraphernalia items and a small amount of suspected drugs were located inside of the vehicle.

The Richland County Prosecutor is now reviewing the case.
