We had some showers and thunderstorms work across central Ohio overnight. Most of the activity to start the day will be well east of Columbus. We’ll see decreasing clouds, leaving us with partly cloudy skies as we head into the afternoon. Look for highs in the low to mid 80s. We could see another round of thunderstorms develop this afternoon as a cold front heads our way. The front will leave us a touch cooler tonight with overnight lows back down into the upper 50s.
A stronger storm system will arrive in the state tomorrow and could bring two rounds of heavy showers and storms. One round is possible tomorrow morning with a stronger line of storms arriving in the evening. The greatest threat for severe weather will be late tomorrow when damaging winds, large hail and heavy rain will be possible. There will also be a slight risk for tornadoes late Wednesday. The showers and storms will linger into Thursday morning before quiet weather settles into central Ohio for Friday and Saturday.
Inconvenient Weather: Scattered showers will be possible this morning east of Columbus followed by scattered thunderstorms in the afternoon.
Planning Your Day: Plan on a warm and muggy day with scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon.
