Police were investigating a pedestrian struck in east Columbus.
Officers say a 40-year-old woman was hit by an SUV that was heading eastbound on Livingston Avenue near Courtright Road Tuesday morning around 3:00 a.m.
Police said multiple witnesses told them the woman darted across the street in an area that doesn't have a crosswalk.
The driver of the SUV said he was driving his girlfriend's vehicle because she had been drinking.
Police said they have charged the driver with operating without a license, but are not charging him with anything else until the figure out who was at fault.
Livingston Avenue was closed at Courtright Road while police investigated the incident. It reopened shortly before 7:00 a.m.
