Whitehall police have arrested a second suspect in connection with a shooting last Friday.

Laron Leroy Kendrick, 20, was apprehended around 3 p.m. Thursday at Mayfair Blvd. and Broadmoor Ave.

On May 16, several people were shot at a parking lot on Hamilton Road around 11:20 p.m. Two people were injured. One of the victims remains hospitalized, while the other was treated and released.

Police say two men used an AK-47 to fire on the victims. They were trying to target one of the individuals, according to police.

SWAT members first arrested Jabari M. Jackson, 19, and charged him with Felonious Assault.

On Wednesday, Whitehall police released Kendrick's picture and description. Kendrick has a distinctive "Batman" tattoo on his forehead.

Police say media attention helped lead them to Kendrick who faces charges of Attempted Murder and Felonious Assault.

He was unarmed at the time of his arrest and was taken into custody without incident.
