10TV was invited inside as crews worked on new turf inside the Horseshoe, where crews are also adding new seats and full-time lighting for night games.
Athletics staff says it's a big undertaking for the historical structure.
“It’s very difficult. We're on the registry of historic places. One thing we don't want to do is close the Horseshoe,’ joked OSU Associate Athletic Director Don Patko.
Crews have a target date of early August to wrap up work on the field and lighting.
