A major development project is moving forward in the city of Westerville.
The current plan calls for a mix of residential and commercial development along Sunbury Road just south of Central College Road.
The city's senior planner said the developer wants to construct 71 single-family homes and 240 multi-family units, along with 20,000 square feet of commercial space.
Tuesday night Westerville City Council members met to ask questions of the planner and the developers.
Council members expressed issue with the current plan, which calls for the demolition of two historic buildings.
Some council members also have concerns about traffic.
City planner, Bassem Bitar, said part of the proposal would be to add a traffic signal in that area.
Council members also discussed lowering the speed limit.
City council is expected to vote on the plan next month.
