Scattered showers and thunderstorms will taper off as the front moves away tonight, and skies are expected to become partly cloudy. Temperatures will cool into the lower to middle 50s overnight. The cold front will begin to return north on Sunday bringing with it a slight chance for a pop up shower or thunderstorm on Mother's Day. Otherwise skies will be partly cloudy with warmer temperatures. Highs on Sunday will rebound back to around 80 degrees by afternoon.
Temperatures will continue to be on the rise as warmer air shifts into the Ohio Valley Monday and Tuesday. Highs will reach into the lower to middle 80s as we start the week. A strong cold front will move into Ohio late Tuesday likely bringing widespread showers and thunderstorms. There will also be the potential for a few strong storms by Tuesday evening. Behind the front, unseasonably cool air will filter into the state to end the week. There may even be the potential for some scattered frost by Friday or Saturday morning.

Inconvenient Weather: Scattered showers and storms will shift south of central Ohio this evening. Some patchy fog will be possible tonight as skies clear. A warm front crossing central Ohio on Mother’s Day will bring a low chance for a pop up storm. A better chance for showers and storms is expected with a strong cold front set to arrive late Tuesday.

Planning Your Day:  A mix of sun and clouds is in the forecast for Mother’s Day with a chance for a pop up shower or storm. The day should not be a washout and temperatures will be much warmer with highs near 80 degrees.
