Robber Gets Away With $20 In UDF Robbery

A man who implied he had a weapon held up a UDF store in north Columbus Tuesday night.

It happened around 11:15 p.m. in the 2000 block of North High Street near Lane Avenue in the OSU campus area.

Columbus Police said the man handed the clerk a note.

Officers said the suspect threatened that someone was being held at gunpoint and would get hurt if the clerk did not hand over cash.

The clerk handed over $20 before the robber took off.

Police described the suspect at 5’9”, wearing a black V-neck T-shirt.

Officers said they were looking for a black Ford Taurus with Mississippi plates.

No one was hurt in the robbery.
