New details were released Monday about a weekend stabbing at an Ohio Wesleyan University fraternity house. A university spokesperson said stabbing victim, Anthony Peddle, is out of the hospital and recovering with family.
Peddle, who is the university’s senior class president, still plans to speak at Sunday’s graduation ceremony, according to an OWU spokesperson.
Delaware police said they have identified a person of interest. 10TV obtained court documents that show the victim and the possible attacker were known to each other.
A search warrant reveals police questioned a person who previously dated Anthony Peddle’s roommate. Police said Peddle was stabbed in the chest and hands. The stabbing happened around 3:30 Saturday morning at the Chi Phi fraternity house where he lives.
The warrant reveals that the person of interest had a long-standing feud with Peddle. It alleges that the person blamed him for the breakup with his roommate. It also claims the person of interest was the victim of a “social media assault”
10TV spoke with some who know the victim, and say they have no idea who could have done this.
The attorney advising the person of interest, Joel Spitzer, said he is under the opinion that police don’t have any solid leads. Delaware police said they have collected evidence and it is now being tested at the state crime lab.
