A nearly stationary frontal boundary draped across central Ohio will be the focus for pop up showers and isolated thunderstorms later tonight and continuing into Monday. Outside of any rain, skies will be partly to mostly cloudy. Temperatures will drop into the middle to upper 40’s overnight. Clouds and showers will keep temperatures below normal on Monday with highs only expected to top out in the upper 50’s to near 60 degrees.
The stalled front will finally begin to lift northward by late Tuesday into Wednesday allowing for much warmer air to push into the state from the south. High temperatures will climb into the upper 60’s Tuesday, and top out near or above 80 degrees Wednesday through Friday before the next cold front arrives. The threat for showers and storms will return by late Friday as the next storm system approaches with slightly cooler temperatures expected for the coming weekend.
