Sunny Start to the Work Week

   Skies will stay mostly clear tonight as high pressure moves off to the east. After a warm afternoon, temperatures will stay warmer tonight with overnight lows only dropping into the upper 40’s to near 50 degrees. Monday will start with plenty of sunshine; however clouds will increase late in the day as a cold front approaches from the west. Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms will arrive with the cold front late Monday night and linger into Tuesday morning. Showers will exit by midday Tuesday with clearing skies. Cooler temperatures will filter into the state behind the front with highs falling into the 60’s Tuesday and upper 50’s to near 60 Wednesday.

   Temperatures will once again quickly warm into the lower 70’s as high pressure moves off to the east Thursday and Friday. Another cold front will bring the threat for showers and storms late Thursday night into Friday with sharply cooler temperatures expected to arrive behind the cold front for next weekend.
