Investigators Call Fire At Vacant Apartment Building Suspicious

UPDATED: Thursday April 10, 2014 8:56 AM

Firefighters were investigating a suspicious fire that sparked around 3:00 Thursday morning at a vacant apartment complex on Lincoln Park Court.

That's in southwest Columbus near Georgesville Road.

Firefighters said smoke was shooting out of the building when they arrived, and that the flames spread through the attic.

Fire walls inside the building slowed the flames from spreading too quickly, but said the smoke became too intense and dangerous.

That's when the firefighters pulled back and fought it defensively, bringing the fire under control in about 30 minutes.

No one was injured.
