A front which has been stalled across the Ohio River will lift northward through this evening. As it does, a brief break is expected from the steady rain and thunderstorms. Temperatures will hold steady or slowly rise through the night. More showers and thunderstorms will redevelop overnight as a cold front approaches from the west. The rain will once again become heavy at times with a chance for a few strong thunderstorms early in the day Friday, mainly before 2pm.
The rain and storms will move off to the east by afternoon with gusty west to northwest winds expected behind the front. Temperatures will rise into the upper 60’s early in the day Friday and then fall during the late afternoon through the evening. Skies will clear Saturday with seasonably cool temperatures expected through the weekend. Another storm system will bring back the threat for rain on Monday.

Inconvenient Weather: On and off rain along with scattered thunderstorms will continue tonight through midday Friday. Locally heavy rainfall may cause flooding in low-lying and other flood prone areas. There will also be the threat for strong to severe thunderstorms as a cold front crosses central Ohio midday Friday. Gusty winds will also be possible behind the front through Friday evening.
