Police Warn Students To Avoid Playing 'Senior Tag'

UPDATED: Tuesday April 1, 2014 2:11 PM

Genoa Township Police are putting out a warning to students who may want to play "senior tag."

Officials say the game is dangerous and could land you behind bars.

The game involves teenagers dividing in teams and trying to "tag" others by shooting them with squirt guns. In some cases, the rules say you can't be "tagged out" when naked.

Authorities say the games can lead to dangerous encounters, especially when kids are hiding at night or holding something that appears to be a real gun.

Also, Genoa Township officials say teenagers can be charged with public nudity if caught.

Genoa Township Chief Steve Gammill encourages parents to discuss the consequences with their children.
