Driver Of Tractor-Trailer Found Dead In Delaware County

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a crash that killed one person in Delaware County.

Authorities said the 2014 Volvo semi-tractor trailer went off of the road along Interstate 71 northbound, south of US 36 and between mile markers 128 and 129.

It happened around 10:45 a.m. Sunday.

Troopers said the driver, Stefan Borbei, 63, Struthers, Ohio, struck a group of trees and the right of way of the fence.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers said he was wearing a seat belt. Alcohol is not believed to have been a factor in the crash, but the driver's cause of death is still under investigation.
