Ohio State University junior LaQuinton Ross is leaving the school to turn pro, the school said on Friday.

Ross notified Thad Matta and the basketball coaching staff of his decision on Friday.

Ross led the Buckeyes in scoring this year with 15.2 points per season. He was also the squad's top rebounder.

“My experience at Ohio State has been incredible,” Ross said via a news release. “Coach Matta, my teammates and the staff were amazing to work with on a daily basis.  My goal has always been to play at the next level and I believe now is the best time.”
