VIDEO VAULT: Japanese Tea House

It was an attraction that brought onlookers to Westerville starting in the 1950s.

The Japanese Tea House was the creation of George Henderson. It stood near State and Plum streets.

This 10TV News Story tours the house in its heyday.

The tea house was eventually sold by Henderson's family and was foreclosed on in 2005.

It was eventually torn down, but some of the ornate tiles live on. They are used at local schools to study Japanese culture and history.
