UPDATED: Sunday March 16, 2014 12:32 AM

Westerville Police and Columbus Police said that a missing Westerville man's body was found in a car in a Columbus pond.

James Martin, 38, was reported missing on January 2.

Martin was last seen at The Dug Out in Pataskala. That's near Ohio Steel, where he worked.

Columbus Police recovery divers found his car at the bottom of a pond near 6324 Hoffman Trace Road Friday night.

Martin's brother said police believe his death was accidental.

"We braced for it, but it's nothing you really want to hear, but people like to use the word closure, but we don't really know why it happened and what was going through his mind. So, I mean, it's not so much closure as it is, the wondering is done, " said Mike Martin.

James Martin's body has been released to the Franklin County Coroner's Office.

Investigators from Westerville and Columbus Police will continue to work together on the case.
