Gusty winds of up over 40 mph will gradually diminish through the evening hours with increasing clouds. A cold front will push into the state by late evening bringing with it a chance for showers. As cooler air moves in behind the front, a few snowflakes may mix in before the precipitation ends. No snow accumulation is expected.
Skies will clear Saturday morning with cooler temperatures to start the weekend. A storm system tracking south of Ohio Sunday will bring the threat for rain and snow across the southern half of the state by Sunday night. Right now, the track is still uncertain, however depending on the track, some snow accumulation will be possible Sunday night into early Monday. Currently the greatest threat for snow appears to be south of I-70.
Alerts : WIND ADVISORY for parts of central and western Ohio, including Columbus, until 7pm.
Inconvenient Weather: Strong winds will continue through early this evening with wind gusts of 45 to 50 mph possible through 7pm. Otherwise clouds will be on the increase with the threat for a few showers late tonight. Showers will exit by early Saturday morning.
