Reward Offered For Information On Waterfowl Poisoning In Northwest Columbus

Authorities are still trying to determine who poisoned around 50 ducks and geese at a northwest Columbus apartment complex.

On January 31, wildlife officials responded to a report of birds in distress or dead at the Island Club Apartment Complex.

Officers discovered a cracked corn mix that contained blue pellets which turned out to be a combination of poisons.

The birds are protected by the Migratory Bird Treaty Act.

Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for any information leading to the arrest and/or indictment of the person or persons responsible for this crime.
