Police are searching for a man accused of robbing a Speedway gas station twice in one night, and he may have struck a third time.
It started Wednesday night at the Speedway along State Route 161 and Cleveland Avenue. The first incident happened around 11:45 p.m.
Police say the suspect implied he had a gun, but the clerk never saw a weapon.
The suspect came back again shortly after 4 a.m. on Thursday. Again, he implied he had a gun.
Officials did not say how much cash the man took.
Police are comparing surveillance video from the scene and say it appears to be the same person.
On Thursday around 10 a.m., the man may have struck again at a MapleMart (formerly a DairyMart) in northeast Columbus.
Police describe the suspect as a black male who is around 6 foot tall and weighs around 210 pounds. He appears to be in his 50s, with grey stubble on his face. He was wearing black jacket with blue and gray stripes on the sleeves. It had a white letter on the back.
Officers say a second person may be involved.
