Two Brothers Arrested After Standoff In Chillicothe

Two men were arrested in Ross County after a nearly two-hour standoff with police.

It happened at a home in the 300 block of East Second Street in Chillicothe.

Police responded to the home after 27-year-old Tyler Johnson allegedly assaulted his mother around 10:00 Saturday night.

Officers said he was armed with a small caliber handgun, and would not come out of the home.

Johnson surrendered around 11:45 p.m.

After he was arrested, his brother arrived at the home.

Police said 32-year-old Justin Johnson ran at the officers with his hand in his waistband.

Officers said he tried to fight them, but he was arrested after a short struggle.

Justin Johnson was charged with obstructing official business and resisting arrest.

Tyler Johnson was charged with domestic violence and inducing panic.
