State College, PA- The 22nd ranked Ohio State Men’s Basketball team was on the road at Penn State Thursday night and Happy Valley was anything but a Happy place for the Buckeyes. Ohio State led by as many as 11 points in the first half but saw that lead evaporate in the 2nd half. D.J. Newbill led PSU with 23 points and Tim Frazier chipped in 16 as Penn State held off a late charge by the Buckeyes to win 65 to 63. The Buckeyes had their chances late but Lenzelle Smith Jr. could not get a pair of three point shots to fall in the final 12 seconds of the game. Ohio State was led by LaQuinton Ross, who scored 19 points. Aaron Craft, who was in foul trouble most of the game, added 10 points. With the win Penn State gets the season sweep over the Buckeyes.
