Newark, NJ- The Blue Jackets were back in action Thursday night for the first time since the Olympic break. The Jackets were on the road at New jersey a team that they had a 3-0-0 record against coming into the contest. The Jackets started poor and found themselves down 3 to nothing in the first period before Artem Anisimov made it a 3 to 1 game. Marian Gaborik, who was just activated off the injured reserve, made it a 3 to 2 game in the 2nd period but that was as close as the Jackets would get. Adam Henrique scored twice, Jaromir Jagr netted his 699th career goal as New Jersey went on to win 5 to 2. The Jackets return to action on Saturday when the Florida Panthers come to Nationwide Arena for a 2pm game.
