Downed Transmission Wire In Creek Caused Massive Power Outage In Licking County

American Electric Power restored power to more than 3,100 customers in Licking County around 8 p.m. Saturday.

The power outage was caused by a transmission wire that went down in Raccoon Creek in Newark.

The Licking County Sheriff reported some traffic lights were out throughout the city as a result.
