Investigators Believe 15 Columbus Homicides Share Common Link

UPDATED: Wednesday February 19, 2014 6:47 PM

Ohio law enforcement is asking for help to solve 15 homicides that they say all share a common thread.

The U.S. attorney's office says the 15 murders span 16 years, from 1998 to the summer of 2013.

Investigators are keeping a tight lip about how the murders are connected, but the plea for help comes just two months after the same authorities launched a manhunt for 21-accused members of the Short North Posse, who they say operated a multi-million dollar drug enterprise.

“Folks who are impacted by this want someone held accountable, wrongdoers brought to justice,” said Carter Stewart, U.S. Attorney.

Investigators say many of the suspects are already behind bars for other crimes.
