An early morning fire at a north Columbus apartment complex forced families out in the cold.
Firefighters said the fire started in the back of an apartment complex on Bunker Hill Boulevard shortly before 3:00 a.m. Tuesday morning.
Four different units were damaged, forcing around 12 people out of their homes. The Red Cross was helping those families with a place to stay.
Firefighters said they believed the fire started in either a laundry room or a storage unit. Firewalls stopped the flames from spreading through the rest of the building.
Fire investigators were heading to the scene to try and find a cause for the fire.
