Devo Guitarist, Canton-Native Bob Casale Dead At Age 61

Bob Casale died on Monday of heart failure, according to a statement on the band’s website.

Known by fans as “Bob 2”, Casale was one of the founding members of the new-wave group Devo that formed in Akron, Ohio in the 1970s.

Gerald Casale – brother of Bob – said the death was “sudden” and “a total shock.”

He is survived by his wife and two children.
