Prepare Your Home For Heavy Rain

UPDATED: Tuesday February 18, 2014 9:17 PM

Doppler 10 Chief Meteorologist Chris Bradley is tracking severe weather in Central Ohio for Thursday. Bradley said flooding and high winds will be the biggest threat.

Temperatures began to rise on Tuesday and snow began to melt.

Crews with the city of Columbus and other municipalities, like Obetz, began clearing snow and ice away from storm drains to prevent street flooding.

Homeowners with basements should make sure their sump pump is in working order.

Gutters should be clear of ice and leaves. The gutters should have an open flow to the ground so rain water can flow freely.
