Columbus police were searching for a driver Tuesday morning who crashed into a power pole, traffic signs and a fire hydrant before speeding off from the scene.
It happened in south Columbus on Parsons Avenue near East Deshler Avenue.
Police say the driver hit the pole so hard it snapped in half and left wires on the roadway.
Power crews have cleaned up the scene.
Police do not know what type of car was involved in the crash, but believe it has extension damage.
Police were looking for anyone who might have witnessed the crash and were checking local hospitals to see if anyone went in with injuries.
