Police and firefighters rushed to I-70 West near I-670 in west Columbus early Thursday morning after a plow truck crashed.
Officers say the driver drove up an embankment and rolled backwards into a retaining wall that is directly over I-70.
The truck broke through the wall and nearly dropped 20 feet on to the highway.
The driver was trapped inside the truck while rescue workers tried to stabilize the vehicle.
It took about 60 minutes to get the driver out of the truck safely.
I-70 West had at least one lane closed while firefighters tried to get the truck off the hill.
