Special Information:
A frontal boundary stalled across far northwestern Ohio will begin to shift southward as a cold front tonight. This will bring rain showers into central Ohio tonight. Colder air behind the front will work into the area late allowing for rain to mix with and change to snow showers early Sunday morning. A low pressure system will track along the frontal boundary on Sunday which will be just south of the state. This will increase snow showers across southern Ohio where 2-4 inches will be possible through Sunday night, mainly along the Ohio River. Light snow will be possible as far north as I-70, however little if any accumulation is expected in this area.
The storm system will move off to the east early Monday allowing for clearing skies. Temperatures will be cooler to start the week with highs near 30 degrees and lows near 20 degrees.
A major storm system is expected to move into the Ohio Valley by late Tuesday into Tuesday night. Current indications are that this storm could bring widespread wintry precipitation in the form of snow, sleet and freezing rain. Locally heavy rain will also be possible, mainly in southeast Ohio. The heaviest precipitation is expected to fall overnight Tuesday night into early Wednesday morning. Behind this system, much colder air will filter into the state with highs dropping into the lower 20’s and lows in the single digits Thursday and Friday morning.

Alerts : WINTER STORM WATCH issued for far south-central Ohio from Sunday afternoon through Monday morning. This includes Scioto County in the 10TV Viewing area

Inconvenient Weather: Rain showers will move into central Ohio tonight. As colder air moves in behind a cold front, the rain will mix with and may change to light snow by early Sunday morning. Light snow will linger across southern Ohio through Sunday afternoon into the evening where some accumulation will be possible.

Planning Your Day:  A mix of rain or snow will be possible early in the morning with snow showers in the afternoon. Steadier snow is expected along the Ohio River in southern Ohio where a few inches of accumulation will be possible by Monday morning. Temperatures will slowly fall through the 30’s Sunday down to around 20 by Monday morning.
