Wintry Mix Tonight Brings Sleet, Freezing Rain

UPDATED: Saturday February 1, 2014 4:54 AM

Your Doppler 10 Forecast

This Evening:    Cloudy with flurries north.
Tonight:    Light wintry mix late tonight with snow, sleet and freezing rain.  Little if any accumulation.  Low 31.
Tomorrow:    Any mix turning to rain.  Warmer.  High 47.
Sunday         Cloudy with a slight chance for snow south.  High 33.

Special Information:
Snow showers continuing this afternoon mainly north of Columbus. Did you see snow and is it sticking? I do not anticipate much impact this afternoon... but a brief mix with freezing rain could cause some icy spots towards morning.

This first storm system brings heavy snow to places like Chicago and Detroit. We will be even warmer than expected with highs in the 40s to almost 50 with rain.

Look for a better chance for rain Saturday evening and a chance for some snow along the Ohio River Sunday night. Then we turn our attention to the more significant storm system we've discussing for Tuesday and Wednesday. The latest ECMWF is cooler for Central Ohio with our snow chances going up.

Alerts :  None
